Talaat Harb Cultural Centre is holding a lecture on 23 February titled "The cinema of Atef El-Tayeb and the revolution."
The lecture will be moderated by the critic Mohamed Abdel Fatah and panelled by the critic Tarek El-Shennawy, the scriptwriter Beshir El-Deik, the director of photography Said El-Shimi, the actress Lebleba and the documentary filmmaker Hesham El-Nahas.
The lecture will be followed by a screening of El-Tayeb’s film El-Barea (The Innocent), which is one of his most important works.
The film is considered one of the ten most important Egyptian films, and was censored for many years.
The lecture will start at 6pm at the Talaat Harb Cultural Centre located in 1 El-Sayeda Nafisa Street.
