Actors Hamza El Eily and Rosaline Elbay jurors at Cairo’s El-Sakia Mobile Film Competition

In its inaugural edition held online, El-Sakia Mobile Film Festival revealed details about its jury members, stating that the panel will include Egyptian actor Hamza El Eily and Egyptian-British actress Rosaline Elbay.

El Eily is known for his roles in films and television series such as X Large (2011), El-Gezira 2 (2014), Asia (2013) and On My Dead Body (2012), El-Kabir Awi (2015), and Laila (2016). His most recent appearances were in the series The Gentleman (Ibn Osool, 2019) and the film A Day and a Night (Yom w Leila, 2020) .

Born in 1990, Elbay’s acting career was launched recently. She is most known for acting in Ramy (2019), an American comedy-drama web television series and Qabeel (2019), an Egyptian television series.

She was awarded the Al-Wafd Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Qabeel.

Elbay released a short videoannouncing her participation in the jury panel of El-Sakia Mobile Film Festival.

The festival's competition accepts both feature films and documentaries with applicants asked to submit their work until 4 May. The films ought to have been produced in 2020 and with a duration of between two and five minutes.

The motto of this year's festival and competition is "Stay at Home," aiming to encourage people to stay at home and transform it into a creative space.
