The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) announced that it is releasing the sixth and final lot of chosen films, dance and theatre performances, and music works which the fund has been supporting over the 14 years since its activities started across the Arab region.

The final week, which provides access to these files until 13 May, will also include a rundown of the first five weeks’ music compilations, all available online for free streaming.

The selection of works is part of AFAC's Screens and Streams initiative, which over the past five weeks released a large number of works by the thriving artists from the Arab region.

The sixth and final week includes films such as Atlal by Djamel Kerkar, Fidai by Damien Ounouri, Crossing the Seventh Gate by Ali Essafi, Those from the Shore by Tamara Stepanyan, My Paradise by Ekrem Heydo and On the Edge of Life by Yasser Kassab.

The theatre and dance showcase features Résister, a performance by Tarek Aitmeddour (performance available for five days only – until May 11), “Food & Fadwa” – a staged reading as part of “Arab Voices, Stories of Palestine”; Albi, a contemporary music dance performance by Sabrine El Hossamy, and “Glass” by Oussama Ghanam.

The music program provides a rundown of all five Screens and Streams music playlists from the past five weeks.
