Four eastern European films to screen at Cairo V4 Film Festival for Children and Youth

Poland's Double Trouble, Hungary's Vuk - The Little Fox, Czech's The Oddsockeaters and Slovakia's The Cellar are being screened at Al-Hanager cinema

Four films from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary will be screened during the two-weeks Cairo Visegrad Four (V4) Group Film Festival for Children and Youth, which will be launched at Al-Hanager Cinema in Cairo Opera House on Monday.

"Each V4 member will feature cinematic gems including ‘Double Trouble’ (Poland), Vuk - The Little Fox (Hungary), The Oddsockeaters (Czech Republic), The Cellar (Slovakia)," stated the embassy of Poland who is assumed the Group’s annual, rotational presidency, of this year, aiming to actively promote Central Europe and the V4 as a strong regional and global partner.

All screenings are free entry beginning at 7pm amid strict precautionary measures of Egyptian culture ministry to avoid the spreading of COVID-19.

Wednesday 4 November
‘Vuk - The Little Fox’ (Hungary, 1981) by Attila Dargay

Monday 9 November
‘The Oddsockeaters’ (Czech Republic, 2016) by Galina Miklínová

Wednesday 11 November
‘The Cellar’ (Slovakia, 2018) by Igor Voloshin (The movie is suitable only for 15 years and over)
