Egyptian Actor Karim Kassem on jury of International Digital Studio Awards 2021

Egyptian rising Actor Karim Kassem will be among four jury members of the International Digital Studio Awards' upcoming edition, which will take place in March 2021 in Dubai.

Born in 1986, Karim Kassem is a rising actor with numerous known roles in films and television shows. Among his latest appearances are the films Sawah (2019), Awlad Rizq 2 (2019), Exterior/Night (2018), Samaka we Senara (2017), and shows Shash X Qotn (2017), El-Beyout Asrar (2015), El-Kabous (2015).

The panel will also include Saudi Director Shahad Ameen; Amanda Turnbull, the co-founder and CEO of Amanda Turnbull Associates; and Deema Maghalseh, the film lecturer at Middlesex University in Dubai.

The awards are given to renowned personalities, achievements, companies, crews, studios, etc. from the film industry by Digital Studio Middle East, the region's leading information resource for the film and TV production and broadcast industries in the MENA region.

Nominations can be picked by professionals from the field and submitted to the Digital Studio Awards.

The awards are divided into multiple categories, such as Best Content Capture, Live Action Capture, Technical Installation Award, Technology Innovation Award, Use of Special Effects/CGI,  Use of Animation, Broadcast Executive of the Year, Content Delivery Platform of the Year, Distributor Initiative of the Year, Excellence in Post Production, Independent Filmmaker of the Year, Original Production of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Workflow, and Studio of the Year.

The last Digital Studio Awards took place in June 2020, being the only edition held virtually due to the first wave of the pandemic, which caused a lockdown.
