The documentary films Sira, the Songs of the Crescent Moon and Laila, Hala and Karima - A Year in Revolutionary Cairo will be screened at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on 11 and 12 July respectively.
Sira was among the selected films at the Eurofilm Panorama and follows 80-year-old Sayyed El-Dawwy, the last living performer of Sira, the most significant Arabian epic poem.
Laila, Hala and Karima follows a theatre director, a filmmaker and choreographer during their involvement in the January 25 Revolution.
Both of the screenings will be followed by a discussion with the film's directors. The former with Sandra Gysi and Ahmed Abdel Mohsen, and the latter with Ahmed Abdel Mohasen, who co-directed the film with Eduard Erne.
Both screenings will be held at 7pm in the Auditorium Hall at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria.
