Egyptian filmmakers to participate in citizen journalism event in Berlin

A four-day event titled 'Citizens Reporting, Collective Memory' hosts documentary filmmakers from the Middle East

“Citizens Reporting, Collective Memory”, a series of talks, discussions and film screenings that address the emergence of citizen journalism in the Middle East, will be held from 9 August until 12 August in Berlin.

The four-day event will screen the Egyptian documentary ½ Revolution by Karim El-Hakim and Omar Shargawu, and will host Jasmina Metwaly, a member of the citizen journalism institution Mosireen. It will also include filmmakers from Syria and Iran.
