'Say No to Sectarianism' to be featured at El Sawy Culturewheel

Featured at El Sawy Culturewheel next week will be the latest concert, "Say No to Sectarianism" by Ana Masry band next Sunday, 11 July.

Leading and successfully promoting the pride of the Egyptian identity, Ana Masry, meaning "I am Egyptian," band is a fusion of taraneem (Egyptian Christian) and madeeh (Islamic Sufi).

The Egyptian musical group aims to promote pride in Egypt’s unique multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious identity and heritage, as well as the values of harmony in diversity, tolerance and national unity.  The group conveys its message through original and old Egyptian songs, unique fusions of Egyptian Christian hymns, Muslim Sufi chanting, Nubian singing, Egyptian poetry and more.

The concert starts at 8pm
