Not so much a festival as a music exhibition, Muzix offers two days of music-related activities showcasing local musicians and a conference aimed at bringing musicians together to share expertise.
Created by Electrum Records, Muzix has three pillars; Create, Discover and Innovate. It hopes to act as a platform for “the discovery, promotion and empowerment of fresh, rising musical talents from all over the region”.
Its organisers hope to promote the music industry and with the two-day event they will bring together industry professionals and amateur musicians, catering to music lovers and enthusiasts.
The event will also feature a display of manufacturer and suppliers of audio equipment, live tutorials, keynote speeches and workshops tackling various issues in the music industry such as marketing and piracy, as well as an open-mic session and a number of competitions.
Tickets are available at Alef Bookstores, or online through Eventtus.
Programme:
Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, from 11am to 8pm
