Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf will be performed by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra conducted by Mohamed Saad Basha on Monday 30 November.
Two matinee concerts will include Botros Ghaly as narrator, with one concert dedicated to schools and one open to a general audience.
Over the past months the BA Arts Centre has included numerous events targeting young audiences.
One of the most memorable performances was the Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals that included text written by Nader Salah El-Din and narration by Abdelrahman Abouzahra.
Equally, Peter and the Wolf has become one of the standard components of a repertoire tailored for children performed over the past few years in Egypt.
Most recently in Alexandria, Peter and the Wolf was staged in April 2015 with narrator Abouzahra.
Programme:
Monday 30 November
10am: concert for school students
11.45am: concert open to public. Tickets can be purchased at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Concerts will take place at the Bibliotheca's great hall.
