Sorour Project will bring their blend of oriental/folk music with rock, jazz, flamenco, classic and modern genres to Cairo’s ROOM Art Space on 1 July.
The project comprises of musicians from Alexandria, including founder Mohamed Sorour (vocals), Mostafa El-Attar (violin), Mohamed Magdy (lead guitar), Mohamed El-Sayed (keyboard), Moamen Hassan (bass), Gomaa (percussion) and Abdel-Razzeq (drums).
Sorour Project began as an acoustic fusion band, merging folk with flamenco, blues and jazz, before developing to incorporate electronic music and rock and funk.
