Art Alert: Karkadan to perform at Cairo’s Da House

The music project features musician Kareem El-Ghalid in a one-man show

Karkadan (kArkAdAn) will perform his "One Man Show" at Cairo’s Da House on 16 June.

Karkadan is a music project in which founder, songwriter and composer Kareem El-Ghalid uses “all his body peripherals and coordination abilities to create an integrated music work that contains beat, accompany and melodies along with singing,” according to the event description.

The music is a fusion of Oriental and rock, that celebrates poetry through innovative musical technologies and production tools.

Da House arts venue opened in September 2016 and hosts concerts, workshops, seminars and themed events.

It also offers its space for projects by musicians, photographers and videographers.
