Egyptian marimba musician Nesma Abdel-Aziz and her ensemble are gearing up for a concert at the open-air stage at the Cairo Opera House on Friday 30 November.

"I am reminding you of my concert on 30 November," Abdel-Aziz wrote on her official Facebook page, promising her fans that the performance will "spread happiness."

Abdel-Aziz, a Cairo conservatory PhD holder, gained fame as the solo percussionist of the Cairo Opera Orchestra, especially when accompanying star musician Omar Khairat, who assigned to her many solos from his repertoire.

Abdel-Aziz, who has a different approach to classical and contemporary music, performed a series of successful concerts with her 'Nesma Group' ensemble all over the globe.

They have represented Egypt in a number of festivals in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, India, Austria, Lebanon, USA, Switzerland, Dubai, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar and Oman.
