Art Alert: Janan rock band at Room Art Space

Room Art Space will host a pop-rock night featuring Janan band on 10 January.

Janan are an Egyptian alternative rock band fronted by singer/songwriter Noha Fekry, who started the band in 2016. She was joined later by guitarist Tarek Abdelkawi, keyboard player Ahmed Kamar, bassist Yamen El-Gammal, and drummer Mohamed Alfakharany.

The band plays original music composed by Fekry, and arranged by Janan, mixing dramatic lyrics and modern pop-rock sounds.

Janan have released four singles: El-Ashq Hala, Lahza, Mehtagak, and Antom.

Their songs are about many different subjects, from the beauty of life to its struggles. Their music and arrangements include various music forms and styles.
