Egyptian musical company Fabrica unite with Boghdady Big Band in a "Christmas Concert" at the Cairo Opera House on Monday, 2 December.
The concert will feature Farida Tamer and Mohab Kaddah from the Fabrica Musical Theatre Company, singing "old time favourites for the first time with the Boghdady Big Band," as announced by Fabrica.
Amongst the songs will be New York New York, Santa Baby, Blue Christmas, Feeling Good and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Fabrica is a musical theatre company founded in 2013 by Egyptian soprano Neveen Allouba and Mohamed Abou Elkheir to develop the performing arts scene through innovative projects and trainings.
Founded by conductor Magdy Boghdady, Boghdady Big Band will play their usual repertoire that combines American and Egyptian tunes and standards like Brazil, April in Paris, New York, Moon Dance, Fly Me to the Moon, Mambo Jumbo and others.
