The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Love Never Dies will be available to watch online starting Friday at 7pm on the YouTube channel The Shows Must Go On.
The musical, which is a sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, considered Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece, features lyrics by Glenn Slater and is based on a book by Lloyd Webber, Ben Elton, Frederick Forsyth and Slater.
Originally directed by Jack O'Brien, the show premiered at London's West End in 2010.
Love Never Dies stars Sierra Ben Lewis as the Phantom and Anna O'Byrne as Christine, a different cast than the one which performed in The Phantom of the Opera staged at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and broadcast online last weekend.
The Shows Must Go On channel is screening Lloyd Webber musicals in an initiative that aims to bring culture to audiences confined to their homes due to the coronavirus pandemic. The free broadcasts on YouTube are a collaboration between the composer’s Really Useful Group and Universal.
