Egyptian comedy actor and rapper to release his first album

Ahmed Mekky, known for his comedy roles and satirical films, will release his first rap album next Wednesday.

The album titled Asloh Araby (It's Origin is Arabic) will include 11 songs and an audio piece explaining how rap comes from Arabic origins.

One of the songs Katr El-Hayah (The Train of Life) has already gathered over 4 million views on YouTube.

Mekky has written all the songs himself except for Kanet Hatefrek Fil Wadae (The Farewell would have mattered).

Currently Mekky is working on a new film. Its title and subject are still not public.
