Famous Syrian-Armenian singer and producer Lena Chamamyan will perform in Cairo on Friday 18 December at the Zamalek Theater.
"Dear [fans] in Egypt, I am pleased to invite you to one of my upcoming concerts in Cairo at the Zamalek Theater .... With love, peace and hope we'll sing together," said the multi-award-winning singer.
Merging classic folk with modernity, Chamamyan, who sings mainly in Arabic, Armenian and other languages such as Syriac, English, French and Italian, gained fame by singing for a number of TV series like Nizar Qabani and films including Grandmas Tattoos (a Swedish-Armenian movie) and Behind the Mirror (an Algerian-French movie).
Chamamyan has released four albums; Asmar Ellon (2006), Shamat (2007), Ghazl El-Banat (2013) and LAWNAN (2016).
All public cultural activities are being held amid safety measures to avoid spreading the COVID-19 virus.
