Just like many other cultural institutions, the International Music Center froze its activities in past weeks. Now the centre will reopen its doors to audiences on Sunday 13 March

Operating under the Cultural Development Fund, the International Music Centre offers monthly concerts - mainly piano recitals - in one of the most inspiring Cairo locations: the Prince Mohamed Ali Palace in Manial.

A number of renowned international and local musicians have given memorable concerts at the Palace in past seasons, as well as in previous years when its concerts were held at the Manasterly Palace at Rhoda Island, the original home of the centre (currently under restoration).

On 13 March, the centre will host the Cairo Quartet, a formation consisting of Egyptian musicians:  Yasser Ghoneim (violin), Alaa Khalil (viola), Mohamed Salah (cello) and Mohamed Saleh (piano).

The programme will include Mozart's Piano Quartet in G minor (K.478), Mahler's Piano Quarter in A minor 1st movement and Brahms Piano Quartet Op. 25 in G minor

Sunday, 13 March at 8 pm at the Prince Mohamed Ali Palace, Manial,
