The cast of the commercial theatre hit 'Talat Ayam Fi El-Sahel' (Three Days on the North Coast), which includes star comedian Mohamed Henedy, has celebrated the anniversary of the play's premiere on Saturday at the Cairo Show Theatre in 6 October City.
"There are many memories that could fill books about the very important step of Cairo Show and Talat Ayam Fi El-Sahel," stated director and producer Magdy Al-Hawary in a long Instagram post.
The cast of the play, written by Hatem Hussein, is a roster of today’s stars, including Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Fathy, Mohamed Sarwat, Maha Abou Ouf, Nada Moussa, Samia El-Taraboulsi and many others.
The play ended 16 years of Henedy's absence from the theater, breaking theatre box office records and being staged in several countries.
Starring in successful plays like Hazemny Ya, Alabanda, and Afrotto, Henedy is a pioneer of comedy in Egyptian movies in the 1990s, dominating the scene after his breakout hit Saidi Fi El-Gamaa El-Amrikiya (An Upper Egyptian at the American University).
Cairo Show is also showing Yehia El-Fakharany's successful play 'King Lear' by William Shakespeare at its theatre in New Cairo.
