Cairo's Easy Talent Academy has announced a contemporary dance competition for children and youth, an event which will take place online on Saturday 9 May.
The participants are divided into two age groups, from six to nine years old, and from 10 to 16 years old.
Targeting dancers who spend their time at home, the participants are required to perform a short dance piece which makes creative use of the home space (stairs, floor, windows, etc) and the items found in this space (chairs, lamps, vases, paintings, etc).
The participants should use one of two compositions uploaded on the academy's website: The Seed or Goodbye.
The jury will decide based on the presentation, choreography, outfit and usage of the space.
For more information and how to apply to the competition, please visit Easy Talent Academy website here or their Facebook here.
