During the official closing ceremony of the 27th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre, the winners of a variety of prizes in three categories have been revealed.
The ceremony took place on the stage of Cairo's National Theatre in the presence of Culture Minister Ines Abdel-Dayem and the festival's president Alaa Abd El-Aziz Sulaiman.
The jury for the Egyptian performances, which was headed by former director of Hanager Theatre Hoda Wasfi, included actor Sayed Ragab, scenographer and interior designer Mohamed Al-Gharabawi, theatre director Hany El-Metennawy and conductor and composer Hisham Gabr.
The awards and recognitions were distributed as follows:

First Prize: The Rose and Crown directed by Ibrahim Ashraf
Second Prize: Moftah El Shohra (The Key to Fame) directed by Doaa Hamza
