The 9th edition of Cairo Video Festival 

The festival has started with 5 Swiss works. The Swiss participation varies between experimental videos, projections and Installations. Swiss visual artist Yannick Jacquet is participating with his installation “Mécaniques Discursives”, created in 2013, in collaboration with Swiss artist Fred Penelle. This edition also features video works by Swiss artists Alexander Hahn, Aurèle Ferrier - who had participated in the 8th edition of the festival -, Victoria Maréchal, Anuk Jovović and Pavle Jovović.

Eastern Exhibitions Hall

“Arabic Topography”,the BA and the French Cultural Institute in Egypt present this exhibition dedicated to the art of printed Arabic letters as part of the 2019 France-Egypt Cultural Year. It covers several centuries of calligraphy creation: posters from the Arab world from the capital of Algeria to Beirut in the 1870s and 1980s, the history of printed Arabic letters from the 16th to the 21st century, and finally a selected collection of creations of printed letters by contemporary artists
