Thurs 5, Fri 6 and Sat 7, 5.30-9pm: “Creating the World We Want for Children, Youth, and Families,”is the2nd Middle East and North Africa Regional Conference on Community Psychology (MENACP 2020), hosted by the AUC Department of Psychology. Topics of the conference will discuss bullying, collective identity, colonialism, occupation, crisis, war, drug use, education, gender based violence, informal education, mental health, parenting, role of psychologists and social workers, trafficking, trauma, workplace environment, children with disabilities, homeless children, families, mothers, school children, refugees and camp refugees, rural areas and others. Theevent will include a panel on “Youth Creating the World We Want” featuring some exceptionalspeakers in addition to a Tanoura show(open to the public).

Sun 8,6.30-9pm: To mark the International Women’s Rights Day, the morning period is devoted to various activities offered by schools around the famous Moliere play Women Scientists.In this context, high school students will disclose their acting talents and think about the topics of this great author, with a taste of the "Moliere language" aesthetics in the French-speaking month.

Theatre Hall
At 6.30pm, an evening celebrating the International Women’s Rights Day, which this year discusses the theme of “Women Acquiring Science” will be held in the presence of French Ambassador Stephane Romatet and the event’s sponsor, actress Hend Sabry. Some of the women practicing general occupations for men (jurisprudence, architecture, surgery, electricity...) provide a feminist insight into their fields of work. The roundtable will be followed by the award of the Equality between Men and Women for the third year in a row.

Sun 8, 5pm: The International Women’s Day event is organised by the UNFPA Office and the Italian Agency for International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute. In line with the “Generation Equality” theme, the celebration aims to involve the public, especially the younger ones, in spreading awareness of women’s rights and the different ways to achieve gender equality, both individually and socially. A round table will deepen the theme and will be followed by the screening of a film, in collaboration with MedFest Egypt.
