Thurs 14, 7pm: “The Poetry Night” events this year include poetry recital of the Egyptian poet Amal Dunqul, one of the greatest modern Arab poets, accompanied by music titled “Amal” and a musical-poetic concert titled “Flowers of Evil”. “Amal” is a presentation by writer and director Ahmed El-Attar, composer Nassim Galal and actress Nanda Mohamed specially for the "Voices of Winter" festival in Paris. This show gives a voice and music to Mohamed Sami and Nanda Mohamed will recite poetry of hope to accompany the music again at the Poetry Night in Cairo. With Nanda Mohamed (music), Mohamed Sami (music), Ahmed El-Attar (design and directed), and the participation of François Atlas (guitar, singing, piano), Romain Vasset (bass), Mona Gamil (singing), and the text of the poems of Amal Dunqul translated into  French by Charles Baudelaire. The night will be concluded by DJ Ahmed Sami, one of the icons of electronic music known in Cairo.

Combining music and dance, Albi features two dancers: Sherin Hegazy and Sarah Helmy performing to choreography by Sherin Hegazy, Sarah Gabr, and Sabrine El-Hossamy.

The show’s assistant director is Mohamed Bonga, light design by Nancy Iskander, sound engineering by Shady Mohamed and Peter Maged with costumes by Gamil Saleh.

The new branch of Room Art Space hosts live music shows on a daily basis. Room’s new branch is located in The Spot mall in front of AUC gate on 4,370 square metres with indoor and outdoor areas where live music events and concerts are featured on a daily bases, hosting up to 400 guests per event, and its open from 9am till after midnight.
