The cultural activities have started gradually to reopenin the country.The reopening has included theatres, museums, galleries, national circus, which operate under the culture ministry. In its first stage, the resumption of activities will be open at only 25 percent audience capacity across all venues

The Cairo Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber, announced the opening of the electronic reservation for July’s performances starting 9 July on ( on its theatres in Cairo and Alexandria (Fountain, Open-Air, Sayed Darwish in Alexandria)

Sat 18, 8pm: TheTalents Development Centre presents “An Egyptian Tale” concert.

Wed 22, 8pm: Massar Egbari band.

Thurs 23, 8pm: Celebrating the 23 July Revolution memory, a concert will be given featuring singer Riham Abdel-Hakim, and conducted by Mohamed Al-Mogui

Open-Air Theatre

Fri 17, 8pm:Umm Kolthoumsongs performed by the Abdel-Halim Noweira Arab Music Ensemble, conducted by Ahmed Amer andfeaturing singers Hasnaa and Ghada Adam.   

Sun 19, 8pm:El Nafikha brass band will give a concert.


Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre

The Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre (CCDC) has decided to offer free online classes to encourage everyone to stay active at home. Classes vary between Contemporary Dance, Barre, Floor Barre, Yoga, Breakdance, Movement and Exercise, Pilates, Ballet, and nutrition advises. You can find all the classes on the CCDC’s YouTube channel.

Mon 20, 7pm: Cairo Tunes band, led by maestro Ahmed Younis performs classical Arab songs.

Tues 21, 7pm: Rai-Na band performs rai music.

Wed 22, 7pm: Kurdan band, led by Ali Al-Mansy plays all types of music as well as cover songs from the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Thurs 23,8.30pm: Pop and alternative rock music by Strawberry Swing band.
