The cultural activities have started gradually to reopenin the country.The reopening has included theatres, museums, galleries, national circus, which operate under the culture ministry. In its first stage, the resumption of activities will be open at only 25 percent audience capacity across all venues

The Cairo Opera House announced the opening of the electronic reservation on ( on its theatres in Cairo and Alexandria (Fountain, Open-Air, Sayed Darwish in Alexandria)

Thurs 6, 8.30pm: Singer Ali Al-Haggar and his band.  

Fri 7, 8.30pm: Best tunes and greatest songs by Boghdady Jazz Big band.   

Sun 9, 8.30pm: The Abdel-Halim Noweira Arab Music Ensemble, conducted by maestro Ahmed Ammer, honors the memory of singer, composer and actor Mohamed Fawzy performing a number of his much-loved songs. 

Thurs 13, 8.30pm: Singer Medhat Saleh, accompanied by Amr Selim band.


Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre

The Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre (CCDC) has decided to offer free online classes to encourage everyone to stay active at home. Classes vary between Contemporary Dance, Barre, Floor Barre, Yoga, Breakdance, Movement and Exercise, Pilates, Ballet, and nutrition advises. You can find all the classes on the CCDC’s YouTube channel.

Thurs 6, 6 and 8pm: El-Sawy Culturewheel Puppet Theatre show is back again reviving Umm Kolthoum’s concerts performing two of her best songs Alf Laila Wa Laila (thousand nights and one night) and Zalamna Alhob (we wronged love).  

Fri 7, 6 and 8.30pm: Enjoy a concert of spiritual Sufi chanting by Al-Hadra troupe.  

Sun 9, 7pm: Al-Khan band.

Wed 12, 7.30pm: Warda Project features singer Wegdan performing the much-loved songs of late singer Warda. 

Thurs 13, 6pm and Fri 14, 8.30pm: “The Elite”, a stand-up comedy show about Ahmed Khairy.
