The draw is set for Cairo at the CAF HQ on Tuesday 29 April at 9:00 GMT (11:00 CLT)
Confederation Cup:
The eight teams that qualified will be drawn into two groups of four. Egyptian side Ahly and Coton Sport Garoua FC from Cameroon are the top two seeds.
The seeding is based on the performance of each club in the CAF interclub competitions for the last five years.
The rankings for the CAF Confederation Cup are:
Al Ahly (Egypt), Coton Sport ( Cameroon ), AC Leopards (Congo), Sewe Sport (Côte d'Ivoire), Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia), ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire), AS Real ( Mali ) and Nkana ( Zambia).
In Pot 1 are Ahly and Coton Sport and the first team drawn will go to Group A and the other in Group B.
The same will be done for Pot 2 (AC Leopards, Sewe Sport), Pot 3 (Etoile du Sahel, ASEC Mimosas) and Pot 4 (AS Real, Nkana).
A draw will be made to assign a coefficient (A1, B1, A2 ...) to establish the order of the matches.
Eight time- African Champions league winners, Ahly, bid to become the first Egyptian side to win the Confederation Cup.
The Cairo giants are competing in the continent's secondary club competition after their elimination form the Champions league in the continent's secondary club competition.
