Egyptian young star Fares Dessouki will take on World number two Nick Matthew in the British Open's quarters on Friday.
The 19-year-old created a big surprise on Wednesday when he defeated compatriot Karim Darwich (world number 9) in the round of 16.
The Alexandria Smouha player, who came from the qualification round, also defeated fellow Egyptian Karim Abdel-Gawad (world number 18) 3-2 in the first round on Tuesday.
Dessouki is ranked 55 th in the PSA ranking.
Meanwhile, world number four Mohamed El-Shorbagy, who defeated his compatriot Tarek Momen 3-0 in the competition's round of 16, will face Mathieu Castagnet of France in the quarters.
World number four Amr Shabana will take on Frenchman Gregory Gaultier (2) in the quarters following his 3-1 win over Grégoire Marche in the round of 16.
