Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure will stay at Liverpool next season despite Turkish interest in acquiring his services, Sky Sports reported on Saturday.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Trabzonspor but Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers is keen to keep him at Anfield.
"Kolo has been an incredible player. We brought him in because he is a winner, an authentic winner," Rodgers told news conference on Liverpool's pre-season trip to the United States.
"He's someone who doesn't play every single week but when he does play, he plays very well. Every day of his life in training, he gives his all."
Toure joined the Reds on a free transfer last summer after leaving Manchester City. He helped Liverpool mount a serious title challenge but they narrowly missed out on their first league triumph since 1990.
