The Tunisia Football Federation (TFF) announced Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with their Algerian counterparts to hold a friendly between the two national teams.

The match is set to be held on 10 or 11 January, days before the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea gets underway.

"We are in talks with the interior ministry to determine where the friendly will take place, whether it will be in the capital or not," TFF chairman Wadei El-Garee was quoted as saying by the DPA.

Algeria and Tunisia made it to the final after leading Groups B and G respectively of the qualifiers. They will be the only Arab representatives in the biennial tournament after Egypt, Sudan and Libya failed to qualify.

Morocco was kicked out of the Nations Cup after refusing to host it as originally scheduled amid fears over the spread of the Ebola virus.

Tunisia has finalised its legislative elections last month. The North African country is currently holding its presidential elections, with a runoff expected next month.
