Italy Serie A outfit Roma are in talks with Chelsea to get the services of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season for 15 million euros.
The 22-year-old, who is still searching for a regular place in the Chelsea squad since joining the team from Swiss side Basel last year, has been chased by top flight European teams, including Inter Milan, also in Italy Serie A.
He was also criticised for being profligate, but Jose Mourinho is keeping faith with the pacey forward, who turned down an offer from Liverpool to link up with the Portuguese manager at the Blues.
Italian reports on Friday linked Salah with a January loan move to Roma despite Mourinho's assertion that he is going nowhere.
Salah has played seven games in all competitions so far this season but has failed to find the net.
