Zamalek winger Omar Gaber has signed a new three-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2018, the Cairo giants said on Thursday.
The player's contract is set to expire next summer but the player who was linked with a move to the United States' league opted for renewing his contract with his boyhood club.
The 24-year-old is instrumental in Zamalek's squad as he is able to play as fullback and defensive midfielder.
He showed some strong displays last season but he is yet to regain his form so far.
Gaber followed the footsteps of teammate Ahmed Tawfiq who last month renewed his contract with the White Knights for the next three years.
Zamalek are looking to end their ten-year league drought as they are leading the league table with 40 points, five clear of second-placed ENPPI.
The White Knights will have a tough mission next week when they face archrival Ahly in the Cairo derby on Thursday.
