The hardcore fan group of Ahly club Ultras Ahlawy (UA07) expressed support and consolation to their long-time arch-rival Zamalek fans, following the death of at least 19 in the stadium disaster.

"2012 League was canceled with the blood of Ahly fan martyrs. Today martyrs fell from Zamalek fans and all their sin was that they wanted to support their team. Despite all that, the match was played as nothing happened," the die-hard group stated Sunday on their official Facebook page which has more than 1.1 million fans.

Sunday's League game between Zamalek and ENPPI was the first fans were allowed to watch after a two-year ban on spectators following the Port Said disaster. Despite the deadly clashes, the match continued.

"For the second time, football crowds die just for being football fans. Does death become that easy? The murderer is safe without punishment?" the Ahly fan group asked.

Police had erected a narrow path surrounded by a make-shift, barbed-wire, metal fenced path for the fans to enter in order to watch the game.

According to many eye witness accounts, the narrowness of the path resulted in a deadly stampede as crowds attempted to escape teargas fired by police to disperse them.

It is not yet clear what triggered the deadly confrontation between the police and Zamalek fans.

"Ultras Ahlawy will not be at any football game in this filthy league. May Allah have mercy on Zamalek crowd martyrs," they concluded.
