Pharaohs coach Hassan Shehata announced on Friday that he will recall goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary (El-Merreikh/Sudan), Mohamed Zidan (Borussia Dortmund/Germany), Ahmed Ali (Al-Hilal/KSA) and Ahmed Elmohamady (Sunderland/ENG) to take part in the crucial challenge against South Africa.

The 61-year-old tactician has yet to announce his official team to face Bafana Bafana next June, but he revealed that he will make use of all his foreign-based players to ease the way for Egypt to take a place in the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

The injuries of Ahly brilliant midfielder, Mohamed Abou Treika, and Zamalek striker Amr Zaki raise major doubts about success.

Victory for Egypt on 5 June at the 73,000-seat Cairo stadium will renew the Pharaohs' ambitions for the race to book a place at the 2012 finals to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Egypt has won a record seven Cup of Nations tournaments including the last three but is at the bottom of the Group G table with a single point behind South Africa (seven), Niger (six) and Sierra Leone (two) at the halfway stage.
