Tunisian side Esperance booked a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage following a 1-1 draw away to Ghana's Hearts of Oak in the second leg of competition's round of 16 on Saturday.
Esperance advanced with a 5-1 aggregate win after brushing aside Hearts of Oak with a 4-0 victory in the first leg.
Hearts of Oak forward Isaac Mensah scored after five minutes but it proved merely a consolation. Esperance midfielder Wassim Naghmouchi scored the equalizer two minutes from time.
Elsewhere, Orlando Pirates of South Africa also advanced to the group stage with a 4-1 win over Guinea's AS Kaloum. They went through with a 6-1 aggreaget win following a 2-0 first-leg win.
Congo's AC Leopards lost 3-1 to Nigeria's Warri Wolves but still advanced because of their 3-0 first-leg win.
Warri Wolves' forward Gbolahan Salami scored twice on 48 and 72 minutes and Etebo Oghenekaro scored the third in the 60th minute. AC Leopards' Guelord Bhebey Ndey netted the decisive goal in the 51th minute.
