"The marketing department have completed procedures with Al-Ahram Advertising Agency for a friendly against Getafe on 3 September," the Cairo-based club stated on their official website Tuesday.

Ahly, the record holders of 36 Egyptian Premier Leagues, failed to win a ninth successive title as arch-rivals Zamalek ended an 11-year drought.

The Red Devils are currently defending their Africa Confederation Cup title, lying second in Group A with nine points.

They are flying to Tunisia 20 August to play Esperance two days later in the fifth game of the group stage.

They will also meet Gouna in round of 16 of the Egypt Cup on Thursday.

Spanish club Getafe finished 14th in La Liga last season with 37 points.
