Egypt's Olympic team (U-23) head coach Hani Ramzy has decided to recall first national team trio Essam El Hadary, Ahmed Fathy and Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala” if his team qualifies for the 2012 Olympic Games.

“El Hadary, Fathy and Shikabala will play with us if we qualify for the finals in London,” the 42-year old coach told an Egyptian radio station.

“The regulations of the tournament allow us to choose three elder players. I am confident that the experienced trio will be a great addition to our team,” the former Egypt and Ahly star added.

If the young Pharaohs manage to qualify for the Olympic games next year, Al-Merreikh's goalkeeper El Hadary will be 39 years old, Ahly’s midfielder Fathy will be 28 and Zamalek star Shikabala will turn 26.

The Egyptian team recently reached the group stage of the 2012 Olympic games African qualifiers after defeating Sudan 2-0 last Saturday in Cairo.

Egypt is still looking for their first Olympic games qualification since 1992 in Barcelona.
