Egypt's coach revealed on Wednesday that he snubbed Ahly youngster Ramadan Sobhi from the squad that are preparing for their upcoming World Cup qualifying games against Chad this month because of his 'repeated showboating' during the last month's Egypt Super Cup.

The 18-year-old stood on the ball, repeating a scene that he made during his side's 2-0 win over Zamalek in a league game, a feint that was deemed provocative by Zamalek players.

The move prompted Zamalek's players to react and the game was suspended for around 10 minutes due to clashes that occurred on the pitch between the two teams.

"I am against the player's behaviour so I didn't call him up," Cuper said in a news conference on Wednesday.

Despite the recent injury of Roma's winger Mohamed Salah, who was initially called-up for the Pharaohs training camp, Cuper opted for Zamalek's winger Moustapha Fathi instead of Sobhi.

The Pharaohs open their qualifying campaign against Chad away from home on 14 November before hosting the African minnows three days later in the second leg.
