Egyptian club Ahly halted Tuesday's games in the club's Tennis Championship to mourn the death of its young player Omar Amama in a car accident.
"The Egyptian Tennis Federation (ETF) supports Ahly's decision in suspending Tuesday games of the Tennis Championship … to mourn the death of Amam," the club stated on its official website.
The 20-year-old athlete lost his life on his way to his Cairo college due to a car crash.
ETF spokeswoman Walaa Ali confirmed to Ahram Online that the Ahly competition was halted.
"Other domestic activities are still on as we supervise tens of domestic competitions a year," she added.
