Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry thanked his player after Saturday's 2-0 win against Dakhleya in the Egyptian Premier League, saying he was targeting the preparation of recent signees.

"The team put on a good performance and controlled the whole game, but they weren't in their best form during the last ten minutes," El-Badry said in the post-match press conference.

Ahly kept table lead with 12 points on level with 2014 runners-up Smouha who also bagged maximum points from their opening four matches.

"Winning the three points was the main target of the game but also preparing new players like Mido Gaber was one of my aims," the tactician added.

Football Director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz echoed his manager longer term vision, saying the team is already focusing now on Thursday's game against Aswan.

"League road is still long and tough games are yet to come," Abde-Hafiz concluded.
