Nouran Gohar, world number 3, needed 27 minutes to beat American Olivia Blatchford, world number 30, 3-1 (11/3, 11/4, 11/7).
World number one Nour El Sherbini defeated Amanda Sobhy, world number seven, 3-1 (11/7, 11/9, 4/11, 13/11) in 42 minutes.
Raneem El Welily, world number two, defeated Reeham Sedky 2-0 (12/10, 11/5).
