Cameroon coach Hugo Broos has been called for a meeting with the officials of the country's sports ministry and football federation on Tuesday amid recent reports that he was approached to take charge of Ghana's team, a report by revealed Monday.

The Cameroonian officials are expected to discuss with the Belgian tactician the sweeping media reports in Ghana claiming he is on the verge of accepting the Black Stars' offer, especially after being interviewed by the Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) two days ago.

Broos, who led Cameroon to win the African Cup of Nations title in February, is reportedly planning to leave his post after failing to get his salary for several months, and he is not satisfied with the preparations programme offered by the association for his team.

According to reports, the 64-year-old Broos, whose current contract with Cameroon is still ongoing, is among three candidates for the Ghanaian spot.

Ghana's Kwesi Appiah and Willy Sagnol of France were also interviewed for the post, which has been vacant since the departure of former coach Avram Grant, who resigned after losing to Cameroon in the African cup semis.

The Ghanaian FA is expected to announce the new coach in the coming weeks.
