Both Egyptian Premier League giants Ahly and Zamalek have expressed interest in signing Cameroonian striker John Mary, who plays for Slovenian side Rudar Velenje, the player's agent revealed.
"I received calls from Ahly and Zamalek representatives asking for the services of John Mary next summer," the player's agent told Egyptian sports website Filgoal.
"The player is under contract with Rudar Velenje and he could leave for a fee of $1.3 million, but still it is up for the Slovenian officials to say," the agent added.
The 24-year-old attacker Mary, who started his career with Cameroonian club AS Fortuna de Mfou Yaoundé, scored 17 goals with Rudar Velenje in 28 appearances in the Slovenian league so far this season.
"We may arrive to Cairo soon, but it's not certain, as we are waiting for offers from Emirati and Chinese clubs," the player's agent said.
