After Zamalek finished the Egyptian Premier League season in third place and dropped out of the CAF Champions League in the group stage, club chairman Mortada Mansour has announced new technical staff in the assisting roles.

Former Whites star Tarek Yahya has been named as the team's general manager, former Zamalek goalkeeper Hussein El-Sayed will be the team's football manager, and former defender Medhat Abde-Hady will be the assistant coach.

Manager Augusto Inacio, from Portugal, will remain in place.

"Tarek Yahya has shown he is a Zamalek loyalist after accepting to work in the assistant coach position with Portuguese Inacio," Mansour told a television programme late on Wednesday.

"Coach Inacio has agreed to the new changes; I told him, I don't want to terminate your contact but I want you to keep you with the new staff," the Zamalek chairman said.

Zamalek will face Masry in the Egypt Cup semifinals on 9 August.
