Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has advised recently married winger Ramadan Sobhi to concentrate on football to book a regular place in the team's starting XI next season.

Hughes said that the Egyptian is ready to start the new campaign when he was asked about the player's availability for the coming season.

"He's done ok," Hughes was quoted as saying by British media.

"He's not where he needs to be as yet. We feel there is more to come and we all know that."

"He was a little bit behind the group and he's had a busy summer, with getting married and all that upheaval – if that's the right word! – in his life," the Stoke City manager concluded.

The 20-year-old joined Stoke late last summer from Cairo giants Ahly.

Sobhi has scored just one goal with the Potters in 16 league appearances so far, but he managed to catch the eye with some fine displays, mostly off the bench.
