Egypt coach Bob Bradley has hailed Ahmed Hossam's progress but believes that he has a lot to do to recover his renowned form.
The former Tottenham and Ajax striker, who is known as Mido, scored in Zamalek’s friendly game against Sharqeya 3-0 on Thursday.
“Hani Said, Shikabala and Mido produced good performances today. But the latter needs to play on regular basis to maintain his progress and to bounce back in the team,” Bradley told reporters after watching the game from the stands.
The 28-year old striker has only played a few minutes against Ghazl El-Mahala in the opening game of the season then coach Hassan Shehata relegated him to the bench claiming that he still needs to work on his physical and technical form.
Mido has been struggling throughout the past couple of years with injuries and transfers failing to settle in and get regular football. He decided to end his European career hoping he would find a better opportunity to bounce back in Egypt.
