Morocco's Wydad Casablanca finished at the bottom of the six-team Club World Cup after slumping to a 3-2 loss to Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds in the fifth-place playoff on Tuesday.
Mauricio Antonio fired Urawa in front after 18 minutes in stunning fashion, letting fly from 35 metres to catch out Wydad's advancing keeper.
The African champions needed three minutes to equalize, with Mohammed Nahiri floating in a deep free kick that eluded everyone to bounce in front of the keeper and into the net.
Yosuke Kashiwagi restored Urawa's advantage in the 26th minute after rounding off a flowing move involving several passes.
Antonio scored his second of the night on 58 minutes to make it 3-1 after pouncing on a half-hearted defensive clearance from a right-wing cross.
Reda El Hajhouj converted a stoppage-time penalty awarded with the help of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) but it was too little, too late as Urawa finished fifth.
Wydad kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 loss to Mexico's Pachuca after extra time on Saturday.
