Cairo giants Zamalek have reached an agreement in principle with Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel to sign their international fullback Hamdi Nagguez, Zamalek's president Mortada Mansour announced on Thursday.

"Nagguez will come to Cairo on Saturday to complete his move to Zamalek," Mansour told reporters on Thursday.

"We reached a final agreement with Etoile over Nagguez's move," Mansour said.

Reports suggested that the Tunisian side have accepted a $700,000 deal to sell the player to the Cairo giants.

Nagguez, 25, has been a key player for Etoile and the Tunisian national team, having earned 15 international caps so far.

Zamalek are looking to strengthen their squad in this winter transfer window especially after the poor performance of the team so far this season.

The Cairo giants slumped to their fourth league defeat on Wednesday when they lost 1-0 to Talae El-Geish to remain fourth in the league table with 28 points, nine points behind leaders Ismaily.

Coach Nebojsa Jovovic lost his post as Zamalek boss after Wednesday's defeat and the club management are looking for a replacement to the Montegran manager.
