Ahly defender Saad Samir will be out of action for a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury, the Cairo giants said on Sunday.
''The player suffers from a hamstring muscle tear that will need two weeks of treatment'', Ahly 's doctor Khaled Mahmoud told reporters on Sunday.
The Egyptian international defender failed to complete his team's training session on Saturday after picking up the injury.
He will miss Ahly's clash against second-placed Ismaily in the Egyptian league on Tuesday.
Ahly are on top of the league table with 48 points, six ahead of Ismaily and with two games in hand on their rivals.
